If you’ve been hunting for a 16808 they don’t get much better than this. I initially purchased this piece for myself but moving to fund a purple 16618. Dating to 1981 this gold sub remains in remarkable condition, it’s complete AF, and has a really cool history. The original owner, a big drug smuggler in the 70s – early80s, purchased this piece in the grand caymans, with “a big bag of money” on one of his runs in 1982. It was worn seldomly for 25 years before it was sent to Rolex for its first service in 2007.
